A little life update

We are engaged! 10 years turned into forever. I still can’t believe it… somedays I just look down at my ring and shed some happy tears.

OUR ENGAGMENT STORY

June 18th, 2023

Bryce & I planned to do a tour of the North Georgia wineries with my parents. Little did I know Bryce's plans were a little bigger then that.

Headed to the mountains, we stopped & grabbed some breakfast in downtown Jasper. From there, we headed to the first stop of the day, Chateau Meichtry Vineyard. We decided this place deserved a sit down glass of wine on the patio overlooking the mountains. As we were sitting there, Bryce left to go get his “hat” out of the car. My parents and I were talking when Bryce arrived back at the table. No hat, but another glass of wine… He then asked me to come walk with him to the top of the vineyard to look at the pretty view. Bryce starting a very sweet conversation, we headed up the path with rows of grapes vines . We got to the top of a little hill overlooking the mountains. He turned toward me and handed me the wine glass he came back to the table with, which was engraved with “Will you marry me?” I turned to look at him and he was on a knee. I couldn’t speak and I just squeezed him with tear filled eyes. Of course I said yes after a few seconds (which felt like hours to Bryce considering he asked “does that mean yes?”)

After realizing what took place I turned to find my parents. My mom sitting at the table taking it all in & my dad being the best photographer jumping through the vineyard to get as many pictures as possible. It was a picture perfect moment for sure. Such a special day to have two of the most important people in my life right behind me as this special moment took place. Needless to say we continued our wine tour, but with another reason to celebrate the rest of the day!

Our story is nothing short of amazing & I can't wait to see what our future has in store for us.
